Simeon has over 15 years of expertise in software and systems development and over 7 years in managing mission critical IT projects.
He earned his M.Sc. in computer engineering as a lead hardware engineer in a team which designed one of the very first digital Pulse-Oxymeters. Healthcare IT
Later Simeon was awarded a full-scholarship by the German Academy of Science which resulted in him building the first exclusively European Digital Eye-Tracker. He was awarded with a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Ilmenau - the oldest German technical university. Healthcare IT, Machine-Vision
Later, as part of his research at the Research Foundation of CUNY, he programmed numerous experiments in the area of child psychology, image processing, co-designed the first US stereo eye-tracker and also collaborated with a US defense contractor (DBA Systems) for outlining the design of an advanced eye-tracking system for the US Air-Force. Healthcare IT, Machine-Vision
Simeon’s career-path lead him to MOTOROLA where he became the man-in-charge of processes-optimization of the software production line for the popular Mobile Data Centers - a wireless network between mobile law-enforcement and ER units. (PM, Process-Optimization)
After that Simeon focused on the development of cutting edge financial products for the traders and executives at leading investment institutions in New York (Citigroup, Barclays Capital, JP Morgan). Finance IT
His pursuit for perfection led him to earn NYU Certificate in Investment Banking (Corporate Finance, IB, M&A, IPO, Financial Risk Analysis) as well as to focus on developing significant experience in team balancing and management. Finance IT
In 2007 Simeon focused full time on practicing what he believes in: IT-projects are to a company what medical treatment is to a person i.e. the difference between heaven and hell is judging correctly which theoretically-sound process will also work in practice.
Desire to improve visibility of operational processes lead Simeon to combining gaming technology with Finance IT. He developed DataRunnerXD - a Direct-X based platform for instant visualization of large-volume disconnected record-sets, which allows decision-makers to rapidly evaluate trends and spot opportunities. Innovation
In 2009 DataRunnerXD received an award for innovative business ideas at PowerUP!-2009 (Summary, Data-Sheet) (A NYC sponsored competition for innovative solutions).
Further thinking out of the box let to the idea of replacing the flat-model of large portals with 3D equivalents allowing faster location of information. The Military Academy at West Point accepted a proposal to that effect, which resulted in novel work showing the potential of 3D web-pages. Web-Portals
Numerous presentations in front of VC's and board of directors, management of global multicultural teams, deep-dive in different industries as well as complete fluency in German, Russian, and Bulgarian allow Simeon unparalleled perspective-taking ability when designing systems or managing projects.
